Learn How Pinterest Can Help Your Business Reach Its Target Audience!
Hi! It's nice to meet you. You may not know who I am but I have been the person behind some of the latest blog posts you have recently read! My name is Sofia and I have been working with Hillary as a Marketing Intern for the last several months. I have had so much fun entering the world of brand photography and have learned so much along the way. One of my biggest projects while working at Hillary Jeanne Photography is using Pinterest to promote the brand. What I have come to realize is how useful Pinterest is for promoting businesses regardless what industry you’re in. So, here are some tips and tricks I have picked up since working with Pinterest to help your business thrive!
Just like any other marketing tool, Pinterest is constantly changing. That is why you, as an entrepreneur, need to be quick on your feet when it comes to your Pinterest strategy. The key with Pinterest is trying out new things to see what works and what doesn’t. Something as simple as adjusting the wording of your pin title or changing a hashtag can get you way more engagement than you had before!
The great thing about Pinterest is that Pinterest will actually help you increase traffic to your website, blog page or wherever you want to direct your audience. Yes, you read that right; Pinterest is there to assist. Although, it can’t help you if you don’t make the first move. One of the best ways to get things started is to pin images consistently. The more often you pin, the larger the amount will be of users that Pinterest believes would be your target audience. I have been able to stay organized with pinning for Hillary’s page by creating a schedule and choosing specific dates and times for the pins to be posted.
Socialbakers blog says the best time to post on a Pinterest account is between 8-11 pm. This window is when the most amount of Pinterest users are engaged and are typically using social media. The goal with using Pinterest for your business is to be strategic! The beauty is you can schedule your pins during the day to be posted that night and be in bed by 10 dreaming of the thousands of impressions your pins will be getting.
When it comes to your actual pins, optimizing SEO is crucial. Words that align with your brand and business are what connect your audience to your pins. For example, Hillary Jeanne Photography specializes in personal brand photography for female entrepreneurs in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Therefore, one of the titles I might use for a post would be, “Personal Brand Photoshoot for Female Entrepreneur in San Francisco.” In addition to key words, hashtags are your next best tool. Try to include 2-4 really specific hashtags that don’t just relate to your business but to the theme of the image you are pinning. This power duo will allow you to reach your dream clients. Oh, and don’t forget to link your website to each pin!
Even though Pinterest is great on its own, it takes a village to truly get the best use of it for your business. Other marketing tools and websites can help you enhance what you are posting on Pinterest. Using tools like Canva and Tailwind is useful for not only creating schedules but creating templates that can take your images to the next level.
Like I mentioned before, try out different things! See what works best for your page. Pinterest is constantly changing and the best thing you can do is be prepared for these changes. It takes a while to get the hang of things but once you do, the possibilities are endless!
