Festive Brand Photoshoot for Social Media Coach Courtney Lynn
I was scrolling on Instagram one day when this post came on my feed of my friend, Courtney Lynn, as one of the bridesmaids at a wedding. I realized that I was actually one of the photographers at that particular wedding...small world right! Courtney and I had met through social media and had attended the same events before we even got acquainted. Courtney owns a creative agency for special event professionals who are looking for some assistance with their marketing. While she is based in Los Angeles, Courtney reached out to me when it was time to work on her own brand building and was ready to do a photoshoot!
After planning the photoshoot, Courtney came up to San Francisco. Let me just say, Courtney definitely came prepared. She had rented an Airbnb in the city where we spent a majority of the day. Besides finding a location to shoot, Courtney brought along a team that helped us throughout the day and it was all hands on deck. It was great to have the extra help, but I think the best part was seeing the great friends and colleagues that Courtney surrounds herself with.
The first part of the photoshoot was very whimsical and fun as Courtney posed in a stunning sky, blue dress. These images were inspired by a Mary Kate image that
Courtney had always wanted to recreate. We had so much fun with this part of the photoshoot; Courtney threw on a pair of sunglasses, poured a glass of champagne and let her personality shine!
We then moved on to the more professional shots where I photographed Courtney working on her laptop and meeting with a client. One of her friends who joined us that day is an expert in different types of handwriting and wrote Courtney’s name in an intricate calligraphy on her Ipad. This definitely added a personal touch to all of the tech shots. We also based part of the photoshoot on an upcoming social launch party that Courtney was preparing for, which inspired a lot of the images. Courtney brought her friend who is a florist who had made very dainty floral arrangements that complimented Courtney’s happy and feminine brand.
After utilizing the rooms in the Airbnb, I took some photographs of Courtney in front of a studio backdrop. The goal was to simply show Courtney having a good time and showcasing her contagious smile. Of course this meant we had to add a pop of confetti! Once we were done with this part of the photoshoot, we made our way to downtown San Jose for some lifestyle shots. Courtney is a big fan of Disney, so it was no question that she had to bring out her Mickey Mouse t-shirt for this part of the photoshoot. We finished the shoot outside after Courtney grabbed some boba, which is one of her go-to drinks. This final part of the photoshoot was a great way to highlight what makes Courtney, Courtney!
Courtney is now one of my good friends and I am so glad I was able to help her with this photoshoot. Working with her and her team made for such a fun day. I hope you enjoy all the color, vibrancy and positive energy that came out of Courtney’s photoshoot!
