Brand Photography Session: Jessica Hutto the Spiritual Life Coach

Can I just say how much I love my clients?! Jessica Hutto is a Spiritual Life Coach based in the Bay Area. She works with women to get clear on their goals and take control to live out their best life possible.

I had so much fun working with Jessica on new images for her brand. Jessica found me on Instagram and resonated with my story of quitting my job to pursue what I loved. After an initial phone call and seeing my area code (shout out to the 209!) she told me she felt connected and maybe a little “woo woo” since I was from the central valley and mainly worked with women on images for their business. I believe when you share your story and put yourself out there, the universe responds.

To give you an idea of my process, Jessica and I first discussed her business, her brand, and her image needs. After choosing the photography package for her needs and setting a date for the shoot, I asked her for a shot list and a Pinterest board of how she envisioned her brand. Sometimes I help my clients with figuring out their brand and putting this board together for them, however Jessica already had a strong brand and vision in mind, so I wanted to make sure I was able to execute against this. The shot list was also important because she needed specific images for her website and social media accounts and these were a top priority for me.

Leading up to the shoot, we brainstormed locations and outfits to fit the general theme. We also made sure to shoot during golden hour when the light was perfect for the aesthetic she was looking for. We ultimately decided on As Quoted for some coffee shop shots with her laptop and the Presidio for her spiritual/flowy dress shots.
