*For The Deluxe package, I highly recommend doing a few pre-planned activities like making breakfast or baking cookies together. In this session, I aim to capture some documentary photos of you and your family in your everyday life, along with having those must have smiling photos for your holiday cards.

*Maternity and newborn sessions are available using the above packages. The only difference is newborn sessions may take a little more time depending on how many breaks your little one needs! This will not affect pricing or the number of images you receive, I stay with you until I'm confident I have the shots. I recommend blocking off 3 hours just in case, but in my past experience we've been able to get the shots within 2 hours. For more FAQ's on newborn sessions, see below.

Rush fee is available if you need your images faster.

To reserve your session time, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit and signed service agreement upon booking. The remaining balance is due the day of our session.

Delivery will be sent through a beautiful online gallery. From this site, you may download your high-res images. This site offers printing options at additional rates or you may choose to download your files and print elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t know what to do or don’t feel comfortable getting my picture taken?

That's okay and it's totally normal! It's my job to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and it's my goal to make sure I capture your family authentically. I will direct you, play with your kids, and give you things to do (like dance as a fam)! I love movement in my images — it's how I capture some of the best real life ones.

Can you help me figure out what to wear?

Yes! I recommend starting to look at color palette's on Pinterest. For example, "fall color palette". This will give you an idea of what colors go together. I suggest the color palette route versus all wearing matching outfits. I'd start with one outfit that you love in your family and build the other outfits around it. Solid neutrals are great, but if you have a patterned outfit that you're dying to wear, that's totally fine. I would just make sure it has the same color palette as the rest of your family and that not everyone is wearing patterns. Anything with bold patterns or bright colors can take away from the beauty of your family.

Do you have location recommendations?

I definitely have recommendations I can provide! Some of my favorites outdoor locations for shooting include Baker Beach and the Presidio. However, I love when you choose a location that feels special to you. I also love coming into your home to capture your family in your most natural element. With that being said, location doesn't make the photos — you do!

How can I prepare my home for in-home sessions?

Don't feel pressured to have your home in perfect condition! I recommend having your bedroom, nursery, and/or living spaces with the best lighting ready. Make sure your bed is made and any clutter on nightstands or tables in the photographed areas is cleared.

I work during the week, can we do our session on the weekend?

Of course!

When should I book my session?

As soon as you are ready. My does calendar fill up months out and the only way to secure your spot is with the deposit and service agreement. Once those are received, I will send you a calendar invitation to confirm our session.

Where do you based? Do you charge travel fees?

I am based in San Francisco. For surrounding cities outside the city, I charge an additional travel fee which varies based on your location.

Newborn specific — FAQ's

How do you schedule newborn session when we don’t know when they will arrive?

When booking prior to delivery, I will block off two dates the week of your due date. Once the baby arrives and if you're feeling ready, I recommend contacting me and scheduling the session within 10 days of birth. If you weren't able to schedule a session before birth, that’s okay too. Contact me ASAP and we will work together to find something that works!

Do you provide props?

I leave this up to you! I am a lifestyle photographer and my style doesn't include any of the traditional posed newborn images. I will get photos of them laying on your bed or sofa, along with close ups of their hands, feet, etc. but I won't be bringing anything to pose them (for example, no baskets, etc.). If you have a specific shot in mind, I'm happy to try it out! However, know that my style is lifestyle, which mainly aims to capture portrait/people in situations, real-life events or milestones in an artistic manner and the art of the everyday. This means real-life photos of your baby alone and photos of your family with your baby.

When should I feed my baby?

It's best if you are finished feeding soon before I arrive and I recommend planning our session around this! Usually this means they are sleeping during the session, but this is a perfect time for photos when they are less fussy. You can also try to time the feeding so they are awake for part of the session and sleeping for the rest. I love photographing them awake, but having them soothed instead of fussy is better.

What if my baby is cranky or has colic?

Newborn sessions usually take longer for this reason. I never limit the time on my newborn sessions for this reason. Many times we will break and give you time to feed, change, and cuddle your baby.

What should my baby wear?

Diaper covers are perfect ways to document their bodies with out having the swaddle diapers be the focus. Soft colors or even just white are perfect. I recommend having neutral colored, soft, swaddling blankets available to wrap them in during the session as well.
