Last weekend I collaborated with my good friend, Anastasia, on a styled shoot. She's one of those people that knows how to make anything beautiful and is also an amazing entertainer/host. It is no surprise that she's become a talented food/prop stylist, so it was only a matter of time before we combined our skills!
We finally got coffee in January to discuss different ways to collaborate. After a Pinterest board, some emails, and calendar date, we decided to setup a shoot. For this session, we worked out of her Russian Hill apartment and experimented with everything from croissants to cracked eggs. I learned that photographing brownies can be challenging and making a napkin look folded effortlessly is not as simple as it appears!
It was really refreshing to take the day to do some shooting for fun and learn some new things along the way. We went home with bags of sliced oranges and brownie scraps to eat for the next week, but it was 100% worth it. We'll definitely be working together on more projects throughout the year and I'm excited to offer Anastasia's styling in my menu of services!
